She’s Got Some Talent

| December 22, 2018

On one of our many trips to AC Moore, we saw this craft idea on display. We couldn’t wait to go home and make it. It was super simple and it looks great!

It’s Party Time!

| December 19, 2018

Sam’s school party was today! It was so much fun! I love being homeroom mom and getting to see her enjoying her day with her classmates. As a craft, they made snowglobes! Sam made hers to look like our family, complete with cats!

I had brought along some photo props just as a lark, and they were the biggest hit! The kids spent so much time hamming it up. I have a million pictures, but here are the ones with Sam.

After their snacks and whatnot, I gave her teacher the class gift (a gift card), and this ornament that I found for her.

What a great party! I really hope I get to be homeroom mom next year. There are only so many years I can get that chance to be so involved and see what goes on in her world. I’ll take what I can get!

Everyone loves Christmas in This House!

| December 18, 2018

Christmas is a VERY big deal at our house and everyone gets in on the act. I mean, everyone. Sam had a blast taking a million pictures of her favorite dolls and toys all ready for Christmas. Here are some of Sam’s best.

Baby Ann and Baby got matching outfits this year!

Who is that sneaking behind Baby Ann, Baby and Boo Boo?

Time to get in the spirit!

Everyone had a visit with Santa. We know what Penny wants!

Oh boy. That’s quite a crowd! Poor Santa!

Christmas Crackers

| December 16, 2018

Every year for a while now I have had to buy Sam Christmas crackers. She first saw them on Peppa Pig (they are a British tradition) and loves them. Each cracker has a small toy, a joke, and a paper crown. There is not much to say about them other than that, but Sam makes us all wear the crowns and we thought at least one photo was worth posting! Happy Christmas! (as the Brits say!)

Holiday Tea

| December 12, 2018

Sam’s annual holiday concert went off without a hitch. I volunteered to be a lunch helper so that I could be in the school super early to get a good seat. It fills up so fast! Here is Sam with her besties, Zoe and Natalia.

I was randomly contacted by the person in charge of yearbook to ask if I could take photos of the third grade tea for the yearbook because they had no one to cover, so of course I said I would! I had emailed her some photos last year for some event and I guess she remembered that I take decent photos. I asked Mark to help me, obviously, and the best part was that we were allowed to go down the hallway where the kids line up before the concert to take a bunch of pictures. The kids were so darn cute! They were all excited and ready to go. Here are some of Sam’s class.

There were so many third graders that they don’t all fit on the stage, so one class (Sam’s unfortunately) had to stand off to the side on a riser. Because the window is behind them and the sun was beaming through, and because there was a boy who kept standing in front of her, we really didn’t get one decent picture of Sam singing, and she sang her little heart out! After the concert we were able to go up and take some pictures though, which was nice.

Sam and her friend, Natalia, were giggling and chatting between every song.

Hopefully, next year Sam will be in a better place. This is the first year she has not literally been in the front row where we could see her perfectly. Boo!
