Sam’s latest appointment

| August 10, 2009

Today we went for another non-stress test and had a regular visit with the doctor.  She passed her non-stress test (her 3rd) with flying colors, again!  I go every Monday and Thursday for one, and so far they have been over really quickly because she is always moving around so much, the nurse gets everthing she needs very quickly.  Today, I swear she was doing cartwheels in there!  The fetal monitor kept losing her heartbeat for a few seconds because she was moving around so much, she was confusing the machine.  It is so funny, I feel her spinning around, and all of the sudden the monitor goes from the constant quick lub-dub-lub-dub-lub-dub of her heart to a bunch of static.  I told her, I would like her to move around, but take it easy in there!

We also got to meet Dr. Monzo today, Dr. Bailey’s partner (he is on vacation).  Mark and I were glad we got to meet her because you just never know, and she may wind up being the one to deliver Sam.  We hope not, because we both love Dr. Bailey so much, but Dr. Monzo was very nice and seems very competent, so we are not worried no matter what happens.  She measured my stomach today with a tape measure, which I have never had done before. I am not really sure what that is all about. I was too busy talking to her about other things, that I forgot to ask. I will have to find out at my next appointment.  But she said my weight, blood pressure, etc. are all wonderful, so things are looking good!  I can’t believe Sam will be here so soon.  The time is just going by so quickly.
