Here she is!!!!!

| September 23, 2009

Family and friends, we are super excited to introduce you (finally!) to Samantha Anne Myers! She was born at 3:55pm on September 23rd, and was 7 pounds, 8 ounces and 20.5 inches. She is absolutely beautiful, I will get some more pics up as soon as I can. Mom is doing great too, she is in recovery now and is in great spirits. I’ll post more later, I want to go see our little Samantha again now!

Update 7:45am

Pam is 7 centimeters dilated now so we are getting there. They started the Pitocin drip again which should hopefully help to move her along. We are hoping to see Sam by shortly after lunch today.

The latest exam shows that Pam is 5 centimeters dilated. Contractions are still pretty far apart, 5-6 minutes. Doctor said they will start her on Pitocin again sometime this morning to get her moving along. The trash guy predicted the baby will be out in the nursery by noon. I have no reason to doubt him since no one else has offered to guess when she might come!

Pam is doing well though. She is in good spirits. The first epidural didn’t work all that well and she had a lot pain early on. They gave her a second epidural and that one worked well. The baby is doing fine too, we have been listening to her little heart beat constantly since Monday and it is a beautiful sound.

This delivery seems to be taking forever! They first starting inducing her 19.5 hours ago. She is still having contractions but they are about 5-6 minutes apart. We are all pretty exhausted at this point; Pam and I haven’t really slept since Sunday night. Here’s hoping we see this kid soon!
