Samantha at Three Months

Samantha turned three months on Wednesday, December 23rd. I can’t believe she is three months already, it seems like we brought her home just yesterday. She has brought so much joy to our lives and we are incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful child. She smiles constantly and makes so many unique and wonderful expressions that Pam and I can just watch her for hours.
In celebration of her three month birthday, I wanted to take some special photographs of her. I have been experimenting lately with a home studio setup and recently upgraded my equipment to increase my versatility. I got myself some new studio lights (Alien Bees) for Christmas and my mom gave me a cool softbox for Christmas called a Softlighter. The upgrade is working out great so far; the lights have plenty of power for me to take multiple photos in rapid succession which is really great because Sam’s expressions change by the second. The softbox gave me fantastic light right from the start and it will be a lot of fun to further experiment with it.
Today was our first attempt at using the new equipment with Sam and I think the results look great! I couldn’t decide which photograph I liked the best so click on the photograph below to see a small gallery of her cutest poses. Once you are on the new page, you will see an index of prints. You can click each print to see a larger photo and then return to the blog by clicking the link at the top of the photo page. Enjoy!
