My beautiful child

Every now and then I capture Sam contemplating some new aspect of her young life. Here she is a few days ago when she first looked out the back door at the huge mounds of snow everywhere.

Om….Om….Om…..

Sam is always doing such funny things. I honestly think she does some of them to make us laugh, but most of the time, she is doing for her own amusement.  She cracks herself up all the time.  Her latest feat which she finds uproariously funny is this pose.  She is giggling the whole time she does it.  Enjoy!

Oh my darling Clementine!

Overall, Sam is a pretty good eater.  Well, she doesn’t eat a lot, which I have finally stopped letting bother me (she has a little stomach, what can I do?), but the things she eats are pretty healthy.  How many kids her age love broccoli like it’s chocolate, and eat a ton of fruits and vegetables willingly every day?  Clementines have become an all time favorite since they hit the stores.  Now that the season for them is coming to an end (I think) I don’t know what we are going to do.  We have tried other citrus fruits like oranges and tangerines and she just isn’t into them at all.  When she sees the case of clementines on the table or counter she gets so excited!  Quite a few times a day she will grab one and hand it to me or Mark so that we will peel and cut it for her.  Sam will eat a whole clementine in one sitting so easily.  Here she is enjoying her snack.

I love how you can see her little mouth opening already, waiting to pop the food in.

For whatever reason, she found it hysterical today putting her foot on her plate.  We kept trying to get her to stop because she was going to wind up all sticky, but you can see how well she was listening to us.  Oh well, at least she ate the whole thing. So I had to clean up her foot when she was done, it’s a small price to pay for a happy, healthy, fruit eating toddler!

More random cuteness

Now that Sam is finally over her cold, sleeping through the night again, and generally her happy self, Mark has, of course, been taking a million pictures of her.  Here are some random moments of unbearable cuteness. 🙂

Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and…Samantha Myers?

Sam loves the computer.  I think it’s all of the buttons to push that excite her more than anything, but whatever the reason, she makes it very hard to do any computer work while she is in the room.  No sooner do you pick up the laptop and here she comes ready to poke and prod and mess up whatever you are working on. I don’t know how she does it, but she has an uncanny ability to find key combinations that make Windows do things I have never seen it do before.

This is usually your first clue you are in trouble….

Her little sticky fingers always find their way onto the keyboard no matter what you do.

Hmmm…where did my webpage go?  Yeah, thanks Sam. I know the page is gone.  Perhaps she knows why it disappeared…

Now that I have reloaded the blog, she is ever so ready to help again.  🙂
