My little daredevil

I forgot to post about this before, but I remembered it today and had to mention it.  As I have posted before, Sam loves her bath. So much so that it is really difficult to get her to come out.  I pull the plug to let the water empty out and she actually grabs it from me and puts it back in.  Many, many times.  She is too funny.  Mark and I have talked about how much fun she is going to be at the pool this year since she loves the water so much.  Anyway, a few nights ago, I was giving her a bath.  There was a lot of water in the tub since she never lets me turn the faucets off.  She likes to hold the cup I use to rinse her hair under the faucet and fill it and dump it and fill it and dump it….you get the idea.  So, she was sitting in the tub playing and splashing and she leaned over a little too far and her face went into the water.  It was totally by accident on her part, but it freaked me out really bad.  Did Sam care?  That would be a big “No”.  In fact, she thought it was hysterical.  So she did it again.  And again.  Three times she lowered her face r-e-a-l-l-y slowly into the water and then came up laughing with water dripping all down her face.  She didn’t mind it at all.  I was so glad.  Mark and I want her to learn to swim (he can swim, I can’t, and we both find this a problem).  I know one of the biggest obstacles for a lot of kids (and adults) in learning to swim is the whole concept of getting their faces wet.  Well, for Sam this is not an issue.  My little girl may be a big fish yet!  Now maybe when she learns to swim, she can teach Mommy…..
