Samantha, my beautiful girl, happy birthday! Two years ago today you made all my dreams come true. The day you were born was the happiest, most wonderful day of my life. This has been such an amazing year! You have accomplished so very much. This time last year you weren’t walking, you were only beginning to talk, you were just starting to eat “real people” food. And now, oh, now you are my very big girl. You run and race through our house and we have real conversations about what you want and what you think. I love watching you run around and play and climb and be so adventurous. You still aren’t really making sentences yet, but you talk and talk and you always find exactly the right way to let us know what you are thinking. Every single day you say more and more words, words I didn’t even know you knew.
I don’t even know what words to use to describe you. I feel like every adjective is so overused, and so insufficient. You are so smart, so funny, so beautiful. Tonight after you were in bed your daddy and I talked about you and how happy you were today. How you seemed to so thoroughly enjoy your birthday. And how incredibly lucky we are to have our perfect little girl.
Samantha, I hope you always know how much we love you, and how you have made our lives complete. Your daddy and I were a couple, but you made us a family. Our lives will never be the same because we are your parents. You have changed us in ways that we could never have imagined. I am a better person because of you and I hope that I always give you the best of myself. I love you, sweet Sam. Happy birthday!

We can’t believe our precious little daughter is two years old today! Sam, the last two years with you have been more wonderful than we ever imagined possible. You are a perfect child in every way and we are so incredibly lucky to have you. We can see how much you have grown already. Just today you and I were at the playground together and you went down the big slide all by yourself for the first time! You have been talking almost non-stop lately saying new words every day and we simply love to hear every word you say and watch you discover and learn about everything around you. We love you deeply.

Sam I love to go outside every minute we can and play in the yard. I try to take her out almost every night after dinner as long as the weather cooperates and every weekend we go outside for hours. Last weekend were out playing and Pam got some really cute pictures of us playing together.
I love this one, we were posing together and all of a sudden she squished her face into mine an gave me the nicest hug!

These are so cute, Pam and Sam were at the end of the driveway playing. They were being so cute I went inside to grab my camera. When I came back out, Sam saw me and ran down the driveway with her arms all stretched out and the biggest grin on her face. It was such a classic little kid thing to do and I am so glad I got a few photos of her doing it!

Sam, as you all know, loves jewelry. This was just the cutest picture of Sam checking out her mommy’s locket, the one I gave her as a wedding present. Sam likes to look at the picture inside.
