Light Show

| December 5, 2011

Sam was ever so helpful in my decorating of the house.  I hung a bunch of lights inside, and before I got much done, she decided to help.

Hmmm…were these this tangled last year?

This doesn’t look right!  Maybe I should just get Mommy to buy new ones.

Ta Da!  Success!  This looks good, right?

Since Sam has always been enamored of Christmas lights, we took her to the Macy’s Light Show this year.  I have been dying to go because it was always a highlight of my Christmas as a child and I wanted to see it again.  It used to be at Wanamaker’s Department Store, which is now closed, but Macy’s took over this wonderful Philadelphia tradition.  For any blog readers who are not familiar with this amazing spectacle, you should check out the link here.  My mom came with us because she was as excited as I was to see the show again.

Sam got herself all settled in our laps to enjoy the show!  Her favorite parts involved the snowmen and Rudolph.

Here is one picture of the lights from the grand finale. I wish you all could have seen it!  Hopefully, we can make it an annual trek into Philadelphia.  It meant a lot to me to share something from my childhood with my little Sam.

After the show, we stopped for lunch.  Here are the three generations of girls!  I wish my Grandmom could have lived to meet Sam.  I know she would have loved her so much.
