Just Kickin’ Back

Sam was outside playing ball with us over the weekend and she looked so cute, and so grown up, kicking her ball around that we had to take some pictures. She has such a strong kick! It is so funny to watch her because a lot of the time when she kicks she actually says, “Kick!!” She also learned how to kick backwards, which I think is a pretty cool thing for a kid who is only 2-1/2.
Not only does she have a fierce kick, but she throws really hard and really far! It must be all that practice throwing pennies in the fountain at the mall, which is one of her very favorite things to do.
It is so much fun watching her play ball and playing with her, kicking the ball around, playing catch. I really, really hate sports and always thought that if I had a child who loved them, it would be horrible because I’d have to sit through all these games that I can’t stand. I have to say though….the thought of watching my little Sammy playing soccer, or T-ball, or whatever she decides she wants to do just warms my heart. She is so proud of what she can do, and I am so proud of her. I will cheer her on no matter what she chooses to do.
Time out to stop and smell the tulips!
