A blast from Mark’s past

Mark’s parents have mentioned quite a few times that they still have all of his old Matchbox/Hot Wheels cars in the attic. I can’t believe he still had them all, but he said they were his number one toy for years so I suppose it is not surprising. When we were at their house for my birthday, Mark finally dug them out and brought them home. Mark couldn’t wait to let Sam play with them. I knew she would love them. I had often thought we should buy her some but I kind of wanted her to play with Mark’s old toys, for nostalgic reasons.
Like father like daughter — she immediately started lining them all up in a row, which is what Mark apparently used to do too. Mark says that next on the agenda is to get her some track. Oh boy, my house will never be the same…
