Our Christmas Wish Come True

| December 24, 2012

Since tonight, Christmas Eve, and tomorrow, Christmas Day, will no doubt be jam packed with activity, we wanted to take a moment to share some photos of our beautiful, amazing, miraculous daughter. So many times, so many people tell us how beautiful she is.  And yes, she is. There is no doubt, Sam is beautiful.  But what most people do not know, is that she is beautiful inside too.  Samantha is funny, and smart, and caring, and sympathetic, and silly, and clever.  Anyone who gets to know her sees how it is not just what is outside that makes her wonderful, but what is inside too.  Samantha, Merry Christmas.  You have made every Christmas wish your mommy and daddy ever had come true.

Ok, now that the mushy stuff is out of the way, on to the silliness!  Santa, she’s ready for you!

We took so many beautiful portraits of her, and she was so good, so we told her she could ham it up.  Boy, she really got into the spirit of things!

This picture we made her take to see the contrast from the picture in 2010, here.

These few we took before getting her dressed, while she was still in her pajamas.  She looks so cute, even before getting all dolled up.

She wouldn’t let go of her homemade “ice cream cone” for almost the entire photo shoot. I just about had to bribe her to make her let it go, or you’d be seeing it in every picture!

Sam loves her snowmen!

Our first little girl

While we were taking the multitudes of photos of Sam, we had to take a few of Zephyr. She is, after all, our first little girl, and will always mean the world to us, and to Sam. We all love this little furry member of our family.

Lights, lights and more lights

| December 24, 2012

Last night we finally made it over to Rose Tree Park to see the lights.  We have taken Sam every year and couldn’t wait to go again.  Thankfully, it was not bitter cold like it was last year, and the ground was dry, which is also was not last year. Sam was wearing her new cupcake hat, a recent gift from my boss.

Once again, she is hamming it up for the camera with her goofy grin.

One of our first stops was up the big hill to see Santa and his reindeer. Sam wanted to sit on the reindeer to Mark had to help.  Once she was up there I don’t think she thought it was such a great idea!

Sam’s favorite part of the display every year is the plywood “houses” because she gets to run behind them and peek out the windows.  This year, she had to peek out of literally every single one.

I love her little face peeking out over her hands, all clad in her tiger mittens.

This one was just her size!

Peek a boo!

She is getting so big, next year who knows which window she will look out of next.  Don’t grow up too fast, Samantha.  I want you to stay my little girl forever.
