Can we get through this Halloween first?

Sam told me for a long time that she wanted to be a fairy this Halloween. I kept thinking she would change her mind as the months went by, but nope. She is going to be a fairy. She has been very consistent in her idea. This consistency and single-mindedness has me wondering about next year since she has already started telling me what she wants to be for Halloween next year — a ghost. We’ll see. I am sure she will change her tune by October 2014, but who knows, I may be eating my words. This kid has a mind like an elephant.
