More snow!

| December 18, 2013

Sam certainly got her wish this year, at least so far. We got even more snow! First we got 8″ dumped on us, then quickly after, another 4″. She couldn’t wait to go out and play. This time though, the snow was a bit wet and perfect for snowman building.

Here Sam is making some adjustments to her new snowman that she and her Daddy built in our front yard. It’s funny, I was out at the supermarket just picking up one or two things and suddenly I thought, “Sam and Mark are going to have a snowman built and Sam is going to be looking for a carrot nose.” I bought some and sure enough, I was barely out of the car and Sam came running over to ask me if I had a carrot. She was so excited when I gave her one right out of the car.

She always talks to her snowmen which I find incredibly cute. They have whole conversations about all kinds of things.

I love her face in this one. She looks so full of mischief, just like a 4 year old should. I wonder what she and Mr. Snowman were plotting?

A hug for her new friend. 🙂

Here he is, all gussied up in his finest snowman attire.

It didn’t take more than a few days for the temperature to warm up a bit and that, combined with the sun we get in our front yard, started to melt the snow. Sam wanted to hang out with her snowman again for a little while. She gave him a big kiss to say hello.

One more hug for the big guy. Thankfully, she is ok with him melting. She knows he’ll be back again soon.

Hmmm…what happened to his other eye? I guess it’s true what the “Snowmen at Night” book she reads says, snowmen have their own adventures at night and that is why they sometimes look a little askew the next morning.

One last picture in the snow of our happy, but chilly, little girl!
