St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Yesterday was the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Springfield. Sam loves a parade so we took her. It was a good distraction from what has been going on around here. It was a typical parade, full of lots of people walking and some cars, and fire trucks. We got a good spot, but Sam was complaining that she couldn’t see so I held her pretty much the whole time. Of course, in the 10 minutes I think Mark held her when I wanted to put her down for a while, the newspaper came and took their picture. Again. Sam and Mark were going to be in the paper. Again. Almost a year to the day from when they were in the paper at the sledding hill. Well, she is a cutie pie, and who can resist taking a picture of an adorable redhead on St. Patrick’s Day?
And I did make sure she was appropriately decked out in St. Paddy’s Day gear!
Mark was nice enough to run and get us ice cream from Sam’s favorite soft serve shop on the block where we were standing.
My favorite parade going pair. 🙂
We stayed for about 2 hours and Sam was cold and tired of standing, so we went home. She was so cold that Mark lent her his vest. She was a bit overwhelmed by it, to say the least, but she did say she was warm!
