Mark better start coming up with some cash…she’s not a cheap date.

Sam was in the tub today just playing around with her toys when I reached in to grab something. She grabbed my hand and said she wanted to wash my rings. She loves my wedding rings and is always asking me about them. She asked me again which was which and I explained the difference between my engagment and wedding rings. My wedding band is very plain, which is just what I wanted. It was important to me that Mark and I have the same exact ring, so I have no embellishments. It’s just a platinum band. Sam asked me if all wedding rings are the same and I told her no, you can have whatever you want. She wanted to know, “Can there be jewels in it?” I told her, yes, some have jewels and she promptly otld me that she will tell Daddy she wants jewels when they get married. She cracks me up. Then, to make it even better, she told me that she still wants to marry Daddy, but then, almost talking to herself she very pensively said, “Do you think I will love someone else someday?…Yeah, probably, but for now I want to marry Daddy.” He’s one lucky dude.

Eek! Dragon!

Sam gets two library books from school each week and lately she keeps bringing home books that are not stories, but rather crafts or whatnot. It is sometimes hard to do anything with them because we only have the week, and with school and all the other things going on, it’s hard to find time to do whatever it is in the book she wants to do. Because of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, she was able to keep her library books for two weeks. It’s a good thing, or we’d have never had time to make this adorable project. The book showed you how to make a pop-up card. Sam made it just like the book (with a little help from me). It looks super cute. Unsurprisingly, no one is getting the card. Sam’s keeping it.
