Mother’s Day

What a wonderful Mother’s Day! I would say it was my first one, but it wasn’t really since last year I was already a mommy, Sam just wasn’t born yet! This year was extra special though, since I got to hold my little girl and smother her with kisses all day long. We started out the day at home and Sam and Zephyr gave me my presents. I got a beautiful sapphire necklace (which are not only my birthstone but Sam’s too), a CD of music, a charm for my charm bracelet (baby blocks to commemorate Sam’s birth), a cookbook about baking with kids (since I can’t cook very well, but do love to bake) and a whole bunch of pictures. I have been complaining to Mark that I am so busy I am never going to find time to go through all of our digital photos to create the album I have been wanting to do of pics from the beginning of my pregnancy through our life with Sam. Well, Mark has been spending his nights going through our pictures and got me a whole bunch printed all from the very beginnings of my pregnancy through Sam’s homecoming from the hospital. It was such a thoughtful gift. Sam helped me to open my gifts, which was so cute. At Christmas she was too little to be very helpful, but she really was today! She wore a bow to show me that she was my very best present : )
Zephyr tried to be extra nice to Sam as a special Mother’s Day gift to me. Here I am holding both of my babies. Sam was just so thrilled to be this close to Zephyr! She got hold of an ear, but Zephyr didn’t mind too much.
We then went to visit Mark’s mom for brunch. Rich and Mark did a good job whipping up the pancakes and bacon. Here are some pics of the day at the Myers house.
We think this is a pretty nice family portrait.
Then off we went home to relax for a bit before my mom came over for dinner. Mark barbequed chicken at my request. It was so yummy!
Three generations looking happy…..
And last but certainly not least, the perfect Mother’s Day portrait of me and my bunny : )
I had such a wonderful day. It was everything I ever dreamed Mother’s Day could be. I feel so incredibly lucky. Sometimes I still feel like I am dreaming. Thank you to everyone, my wonderful husband, Mark, my mom, my mother in law, my Zephyr cat, and most of all my Samantha for making my day as wonderful as it could be. I love you all!
