Seriously. Enough. More Snow. MORE SNOW.

Ok, ok, last snow of the season, right? It had better be! It’s March for goodness sake! It was a heavy one, lots and lots of snow totaling about 10 inches and this one did wind up cancelling school and work. What a day! It started early and just kept coming. Sam, of course, had a great time. Mark took her sledding then I stayed outside our house playing with her for a while. She certainly looks quite at home in the snow, doesn’t she? Where this kid came from, I have no idea. She definitely didn’t get my anti-cold genes! [Mark – She gets that from my Dad, he is like a polar bear in the snow. I don’t think I have ever heard him say once that he was cold, and we used to do a lot outdoors in the winter.]

The coolest part of the day, by far, was that when Mark took Sam sledding, a reporter from our weekly, local paper, The Springfield Press, took their picture! Although he misspelled our last name (why does this not surprise me) despite Mark’s spelling it into the guy’s tape recorder.  Oh well. They are still famous! Sam cracks me up though. When I opened the paper the day it came, hoping that her picture would be there, I was so excited! I showed it to her and made a huge fuss and her reaction was basically, yeah, I bet the other people whose picture is in here are excited too. Um, Sam? You are 5 and in the newspaper. It’s pretty cool! Oh well, I guess it’s good it didn’t go to her head!
